Recovery through Christ is a Christian 12 Step program for men and women who are struggling with addictions.  It meets Fridays 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the teen room of Mount Olive in Appleton (930 E. GriefShare Support Group: GriefShare is a weekly Bible-based, Christ-centered seminar and support group for men and women who have experienced the death of someone close. This is a positive, uplifting, caring group in which you can learn how to deal with the emotions and challenges that come when a loved one dies. It is a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and the pain of your loss. At GriefShare, you will learn valuable information through a series of videos that will help you through this difficult time. The group is led by individuals who have personally experienced grief due to a loved one's death. There is no charge.

Apple Valley Food Pantry

Items Needed for the Month of March: Cereal, canned fruits, all canned meats, canned pasta, hamburger helpers, cookies, jam, all crackers, and household cleaning items.

Please save your Meditations and Forward in Christ for the Food Pantry. You can place your used devotionals in the food pantry boxes located at your church.

Thank you and Volunteer Request from the Hope Center

Thank you to all the volunteers that have shared their time and gathered donations to benefit the Hope Center during the last couple months. A special thank you to Immanuel Girl Pioneers, Bethany TNT youth group, Festival Foods, FVL foreign exchange students Thrivent Action Team, Marilyn McCarthy's piano students, and Giving Tree donations from St Matthew, Immanuel, and Eternal Love. We are also thankful for the financial donations from many WELS members. We appreciate your partnership in blessing those in need of help and hope in the Fox Valley.

We are currently in need of Spanish-speaking volunteers and a weekend or evening volunteer team (1-2 times per month). If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions about the ministries of The Hope Center, please call us at 920-739-0039.

Lutheran Military Support Group is honored to host a
" Combat Veteran Spiritual R&R"
May 4-6 2018 at Camp Phillip-Wautoma, Wisconsin

For Whom: This retreat is intended for and open to WELS/ELS veterans since 1991, men and women who have post-traumatic stress related to their service. This retreat is only for veterans. No spouses or family for this retreat.

Cost: There is NO COST to the participants. All expenses are covered by LMSG (Lutheran Military support Group). You will need to bring your own linens (bedding, towels, sleeping bags) and toiletries.

We will have the FVL Fox Folk Marionettes present "A Sight to See"—a story that tells of Jesus' death and resurrection—followed by some fun activities to reinforce the Easter account for our children. Trinity Lutheran Church (804 Grignon Street, Kaukauna) Easter Egg Hunt on March 24 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. There will be Easter Egg Hunts for 0-2 year olds, 3-6 year olds, 6-9 year olds, and 10-12 year olds. Hunts start at 11 AM going from youngest to oldest. The event itself will be free! Meet and mingle with other VBS Groupies in your area, and coordinate sharing props and decorating resources. Learn how to create amazing decorations with step-by-step instructions; experience a "Day at VBS"; network and learn how to plan, coordinate, and pull off an amazing VBS event. Get practical pointers on all things VBS- including fundraising, volunteer recruiting, decorating and family follow-up. Get an energizing jump-start to your VBS season... and have fun! Special Presentation at St. Paul, Appleton

Driving the Back Roads, led by Reynold Kremer, is a look at the Amish, Mennonites and Hutterites. This study leads us to understand their history, religion and why they do the unusual things they do. Interestingly, they got their start at the same church door in 1517 Wittenberg as did the Lutherans. Begins April 4 at 6:30 pm in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Basement, 302 N. Morrison St. Appleton.
