She dating quitting internet friend from Europe

Women who do online dating quit as soon as they start?

I have found that women brand new to online dating typically don't last long on these sites. That they tried it out, but figured it wasn't for them.

And it may not be necessarily from bad experiences either. Some have even claimed they had great times with these initial meets, but didn't stick around the site for too long.

Recently I went on a date with a woman that I met through OK Cupid. She just moved to the area and has been single a few years. We had a great time together, I thought I was "IN" for sure for a 2nd date because I thought we clicked and had a lot in common.

Anyway, she said, "I can only see us as friends" I responded, "Oh okay, well, if you ever want to hang out, let me know"

Never heard from her again...but I only said what I said to be polite as I knew we're both not on there to seek friendships.

Then, I had never seen her sign into the site again since our date. She said I was the only guy she ever met being that she was a newbie on the site.

You can tell their activity by seeing when they were "last online"

I actually know some real life women that did this, been on a couple of dates, but then gave it up rather quickly. Again, not bad dates, so I guess they realized it wasn't for them or perhaps it was the apprehension of not doing it organically?

Anyhow, thoughts on this? Ever been out with someone to only never do online dating again?
    • @Sarah: Sarah, so it was enough to drive you completely off the dating sites? This one woman I met on OK Cupid ONLY went out with me because I'm good friends with one of HER friends...we actually met briefly in the past at my friends B-Day party at a restaurant.

I even asked her if this was one of the reasons she decided to meet with me, and she said that it was.

Apparently it was me and one other guy that she knew in the real world that bumped into her online. The other guys her were total strangers she wasn't willign to meet.

When I walked her to her car she told me she wasn't into the idea of it in the first place that's why she was okay with meeting me. I had a great time, beautiful woman actually. Great muscle tone for the age of 50, esp. for a woman in the area.

But she was kind of a new ager, hippie type (not making fun, just the way I describe her), a masseuse, sweet, yoga type, but too overly free spirited and kind of all over the place.

Actually go ta discounted massage from her, she does a great job. Gave a hypnotic intro to the massage and straddled by back when she started the deep tissue thing. lol Always fantasized about how she'd feel with those muscular thighs straddling me from the other side. lol

Tends to spend time with friends outside of the town in which she lives. as she accumulated a lot of friends whilst traveling, has like 2,000 friends on FB...just not much in common, but was always somewhat affectionate with me when we'd bump into each other in public.

Funny, she seemed to gravitated to nerdy, techy, brainy, easy going nice guys, but she's got part of it right...just can't relate to the nerdy side of men. :-) She's more right brained/creative

Just think the show "Dharma and Greg"

She does the "Free Hugs" sign thing in the downtown area. lol

In my experience, and from a few other women I spoke to, we give up because these sites are overwhelming. I'm average looking and still get 20 - 50 messages an hour if I'm shown as online. If you don't respond to each message, about half the guys will send a nasty message. If you follow the #byefelipe tag on Instagram you can see accurate examples of how many, many guys respond if you don't immediately start sexting them or reply to their message,.
  • Why do you care what some ditzy females do on online dating sites?

Why not go outside and introduce yourself to real woman and get shot down live and in person instead of just being ignored online?

The thing is.... it's easy to speak to woman. They're just like regular people. And some will even laugh and speak back.

The trick is not to mistake that friendly smile and reply with "I want you now"

Anyway, who cares what women do on dating sites? Using those sites is a lesson in laziness and desperation.
